Day2 - Akwaaba!

We got here in one piece, the flight was only 1 hour late after leaving New York 2 hours late.

Neeter & Becky loaded up luggage and equipment and headed out into the rain - yep a raining welcome, but light and welcome cool temps.

Davi is smitten with Kelsey.

David got his FuFu and Goat soup!

It was a FULL day! After the drive to Rev. James home, forever here on out known as RJ in this blog, we unpacked a bit and the girls got cleaned up while David & Richie & Chief Takyi ran around town getting battieries for the purifiers and checking prices and availability on water containers. We found they are available in locations closer to the villages than here, so we'll get them there.
We, Anita, David, Beckay & Davi took a walk with RJ to Jerusalem Gates Acedemy and met with Julius, the school's headmaster and his wife. It was good to see him again. we plan to meet the students tomorrow and further discuss the needs of the children needing sponsorship and the school in general, having to change locations. They have land but no building.
We had a GREAT meal of Goat Soup & Fufu with Pineaplle of course and we headed to church at 8 this evening. RJ said he would read one verse and three hours later.... we're home keeping you up to date!
It's good to be here. I miss my grrr-animals, but it's good to be home in Ghana!
I listened to the book "Crazy Love," recited by the author on the flight here.
He told the story of a pastor attending a funeral and sharing the gospel during the service. Then he sat down and died. His last words were, "we don't know when we're going to die, are you prepared?"
Jesus said, "Profess me before men and I will Profess you before my Father in heaven.
One second this man was professing Jesus before men and in the very next second, Jesus was professing him before GOD!
THAT is powerful!

Professing HIM,
David Lee Waters Sr.,
We're having a great time and wishing Addison was here with us! We'll be talking about her tommorrow at the school!
